"What you wear is how you present yourself to the world, especially today, when human contacts are so quick. Fashion is instant language." – Miuccia Prada
I often tell my kids that it matters how they dress. You don't have to have the most expensive pieces, but what you wear tells people what you think about yourself, as well as how you feel about others. Wearing pajama's to go to the store or school often communicates a lack of care for those you interact with, and a lack of care for the things done. We often hear "dress for the position you want, not the position you have".
"Dress shabbily and they remember the dress; dress impeccably and they notice the woman." – Coco Chanel (or man!)
We carry ourselves differently when we dress well; stand a little taller, communicate with confidence, walk with purpose. Sometimes, just changing up your style brings new energy to your day!
